Wyandotte County, Kansas, where the hospital is located has a “completed” vaccination rate (whatever that means) of 49.27%.
Across the state line in Kansas City, Missouri, where I live, things are not a whole lot better with a “completed” vaccination rate of 56.5%
The case rate, on the other hand, is quite impressive.
3.7 times as high as any week since the beginning of the pandemic.
I ordered my test kits Tuesday. I just happened have the NewsHour on while I was fixing dinner and I heard Judy Woodruff say that the www.covidtests.gov web site was up a day early. I went right in and logged on. In spite of what some whiny gossip mongers were propagating on Twitter (I live in a 70 unit complex) it was easy peasy. Took 30 seconds to complete and get a confirmation email.
